Primaryresponsibilities include daily paymentprocessing received via mail, over-the-counter payments, and electronic onlinepayments as well as telephone customer service.
Other dutiesinclude issuance of Certificate of Taxes Due, mobile home functions, historical office research.
Generally, the hiring range is $37,117-$46,397 annually. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (The following examples are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive.)
- Provide courteous and accurate customer service via telephone, in person, and online.
- Process all tax payment types including over the counter, mail, electronic and / or courier.
- Payment returns and general correspondence related to payment processing.
- Historical tax research.
- Manage certificate of taxes due online processing and receipting of house accounts.
- Preparation and issuance of Manufactured Home Authentications to include moving permits.
- Daily batch processing of stub / check payments.
- End of day upload of payments into Eagle Tyler Treasurer software.
- Reconcile all cashiering batches; identify incorrect and / or double payments
- Prepare payment batches for bank upload.
- Research and process pre-paid taxes payments.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Periodic supervision administered by Management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : This position does not directly supervise other employees.
INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT : Organize and performduties in a timely, accurate manner under general supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- A high schooldiploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of related office experiencewith focus on customer service.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge : Use basic math and calculation of amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailedwritten or oral instructions;
ability to perform with bothstandardized and variable situations.
Skills : Position requires demonstration of advanced clericaland computer skills,organizational skills and research skills.
Performmonetary transactions and end of day balancing of cash drawerin timely manner. Effectively communicate bothverbally and in writing. Customer service skills.
Abilities : Able to perform within high volume customer service capacity while performingmonetary transactions. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to form and maintain positive working relationships. Ability to use initiative to direct own activities. Ability to learn and comprehend tax paymentprocessing and collection using specializedproperty tax processing software.
Understandand communicate statutory requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Physical Work Environment : Typical office setting. In-person interaction with public, customers, and coworkers.
Physical Demands : Minimal, general computer station environment. Primary sedentary.
Material and Equipment : Typical office equipment and computerhardware / software. Specializedsoftware relating to property tax collection, Deed of Trust releases, andforeclosures.
