We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer with proficiency in SAP to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Engineer with a strong background in SAP to manage and control project costs.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cost management processes and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure financial efficiency and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, ensuring costs are within approved limits.
- Utilize SAP for cost tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel is required and will be assessed during the hiring process.
- Prepare cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
- Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to maintain project profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bids, and proposals.
- Conduct regular cost reviews and audits to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Provide training and support to team members on cost management processes and SAP functionalities.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering, with a strong emphasis on SAP.
- Proficient in SAP (specifically in modules related to cost management, project systems, and financials).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and cost control processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial software.
