Summary Under the direction of SVP, General Counsel & Policy, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice and legal counsel to our design, development, and procurement teams.
In this global position, you will play a crucial role in negotiating lease and other revenue generating agreements, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing contractual agreements, and mitigating legal risks associated with our business operations.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to theDdesign, Development and Procurement teams on a wide range of matters, including construction agreements, service agreements, technology licenses, and procurement agreements.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements, including construction agreements, service agreements, technology licenses, and procurement agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives while minimizing legal risks.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to keep abreast of changes and developments that may impact the company's operations.
- Advise on legal aspects of data center design, development, and construction projects, including real estate, zoning, permitting, and environmental regulations.
- Partner with the procurement team to ensure all vendor contracts are legally sound and manage vendor relationships from a legal standpoint.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Procurement, Engineering, Operations) to achieve business objectives.
- Manage a diverse legal workload and prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Develop and provide training and education to internal stakeholders on legal issues relevant to sales, product development, and marketing activities.
- Engage and manage external legal counsel and consultants.
- Support corporate governance initiatives and compliance programs to maintain the company's integrity and reputation in the marketplace.
Skills & Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Minimum 10 years' legal experience
- Data Center company experience
- Strong understanding of design, development, and procurement processes
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to move fast and take smart risk
- Demonstrated success as a growth-minded, authentic, service-oriented leader capable of motivating and guiding teams in an entrepreneurial environment

Actual compensation offered will be finalized at offer and may be above the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education / certifications, or geographic location.
