We are seeking a skilled Systems Integration Engineering Manager to join our team at Thinc Forward. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of System Integration Engineers, guiding all aspects of integrating new offices and executing technical projects for our clients.

You'll collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, evaluate technical feasibility, and create detailed integration plans.

Additionally, you will ensure the successful execution of integration projects, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities :

Create weekly schedules and manage resource allocation / utilization.

Ensure accurate and timely entry of project completion notes and hours on assigned tickets in our service delivery management software.

Implement a standardized process for SOWs, project plans, project go live test plans, and oversee continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage the process of assessing site readiness and technical feasibility of integration solutions.

Lead and manage the Integration Team that performs remote and on-site network deployments / upgrades including routers, switches, Wi-Fi, servers, and firewall configurations, low voltage cabling, mounting TVs, converting legacy software, local and cloud-based domain configurations, and more.

Partner with senior leadership on process optimization, budgeting, and resourcing.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Help Desk, Field Services, Senior Engineering, and Finance.

Coordinate with the Project Management team on project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.

Ensure quality standards are followed and consistently met during integration projects.

Interface with clients to understand integration requirements, develop integration plans, resolve escalations, and receive feedback.

Actively monitor, Identify, and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during integration projects.

Define and document best practices and support procedures.

Develop and implement a cross-training program to further the development of the engineering team.

Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in systems integration.

Provide accurate reporting of project statuses, including existing and future projects, to the management team.

Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned at any time.

Requirements

  • Availability for occasional oversight of team projects during off hours
  • Hands-on experience with systems integration (network, servers, PCs, domains)
  • 5+ years previous experience in a systems integration engineering role
  • 3+ years proven managerial or leadership experience
  • Strong technical background in field integration of hardware, software, and networking
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies
  • Familiarity with server installations and virtualization
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Dental IT experience is desired but not required
  • Occasional travel required (2-3 times per year)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
