Job Summary
Coordinate the organization’s daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution.
Organize warehousing for goods and review inventory to ensure product adjustments are properly applied. Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to internal or external customers based on needs, acting as a liaison between customers, freight carriers, and the shipping department.
Ensure on-time delivery of goods to customers by investigating and resolving detention issues. Assist in cost control by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting the most cost-efficient shipping method within Department of Defense guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials weighing 35-50 pounds repetitively within or near the plant, yard, or work site; arrange for distribution of materials upon arrival.
- Manage materials being inducted, transferred, received, and / or issued through the Deer Valley Defense Section, including responsibility for all database entries.
- Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw-hammer, or other hand tools.
- Load and unload materials by hand onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves; Load materials into vehicles and secure them with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area using hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or another device.
- Secure lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination using hand-operated crane or hoist, signals crane, or hoisting operators.
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together using banding machine and clincher.
- Clamp sections of portable conveyor together or places conveyor sections on blocks or boxes to facilitate movement of materials or products.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen.
- HS Diploma or equivalent, along with 2 years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- SAP with Material Movement Transaction.
- Proficient in handling product receipts and inductions, including the associated SAP transaction codes for material receipts, material kitting pulls, inspection notifications, and material issuance.
