JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking a BI Developer for a 6M C2H opportunity that is located in Irving, TX 75063 (onsite work 4-days per week).

The BI Developer will build and maintain data solutions using MS BI tools, including SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and PowerBI.

The BI Developer will conduct ETL operations from various sources, including internal systems and external APIs, to create comprehensive data sets.

The BI Developer will develop interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI to deliver insights to stakeholders and business units.

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams to Understand Business Needs / Create Effective Business Solutions
• Utilize Excel for Data Analysis Leverage Advanced Features (Pivot Tables / Complex Formulas)
• Modify / Enhance / Write Python Scripts to Extract / Process Data from APIs / Integrate External Data into BI
• Maintain OLAP Cubes in SSAS / Multidimensional Analysis
• Optimize SQL Queries / Improve Database Performance to Ensure Efficient Data Processing
• Maintain High Data Quality Through Testing / Validation / Proper Documentation

ABOUT THE PROJECT / TEAM

The currently BI Team is situated offshore currently. The objective in hiring on an internal BI Developer is to help offset the gap in time (12hrs) between India and the USA.

This BI Developer will be the first onsite internal BI Resource and will work hand-in-hand with the VP of IT, who is still very hands-on, by necessity.

This BI Developer will not have a local BI Development team to lean back on but the VP of IT loves to train individuals that want to learn and grow their career.

This is a very small team but with a very high internal demand. They have a robust and established backbone in PowerBI and SSRS with a multitude that have already been created.

The BI Developer will utilize that backbone to support, enhance, optimize, and develop the necessary dashboards and reports.

The ideal BI Developer will be well-versed in BI functions, specifically to conduct modifications, enhancements, and optimize existing dashboards.
