Volt is immediately hiring for Maintenance Technician III in Irving, TX.
As a Maintenance Technician III, you will :
- Identify parts wear and potential equipment failure through routine inspection.
- Identify equipment issues that could potentially be an employee hazard.
- Maintain operational ability and integrity of equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing and replacing equipment, fixtures, and systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Fabricate or repair parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Coordinate and supervise outside contractors for larger repair projects.
- Assist with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Safely start, operate, and shutdown all equipment within SMICE, including ammonia refrigeration system, SIS Freezer, VFFS machines, Robotics, and conveyors.
- Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
- Safely operate various hand tools, power tools, large shop tools, and test instruments such as Voltage Meter.
- Maintain all required company & departmental records and documents.
- Perform basic plumbing identification and repair.
- Inspect facility safety devices.
- Maintain building and grounds.
- Repair / replace bearings, conveyor belts, pneumatic hoses, etc..
- Test electrical devices.
- Perform equipment overhauls.
- Undergo advanced refrigeration training.
- Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting.
- Keep work area clean and free of clutter and debris.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Keep tools cleaned, maintained, and kept.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Certification through trade school or other higher-level education related to job requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct or related maintenance experience.
- PLC Troubleshooting : 3 years (Required).
- Mechanical Maintenance : 3 years (Required).
- Automation controls : 1 year (Preferred).
- Robotic packaging : 1 year (Preferred).
Salary : $68,000 - $74,000 per year
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
