As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in School Health, you will work under the direction of a healthcare provider to deliver patient care that prioritizes safety and well-being.
- Clinical Excellence / Patient Care
- Assist with obtaining vital information and preparing patients for examination and treatment.
- Competently perform clinical skills required for job duties.
- Draw and collect blood and other samples, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Administer vaccines and medications through various routes.
- Perform urinary catheterization as per protocol.
- Schedule referrals for patients with specialists or outpatient services.
- Document patient care in electronic health records using standardized workflows.
- Development and Patient Education
- Stay informed about clinic / department activities and organization updates.
- Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and Safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including Compliance and HIPAA.
- Provide education to patients and families using approved methods.
- Contribute to team goals and strive to exceed customer expectations.
- Perform other duties as requested by Clinic Administrator to support office operations.
