Warehouse Worker - Weekend Shift

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as warehouse workers for the weekend shift. You will primarily work in unloading and receiving departments, assigned to a specific dock for unloading 18-wheelers, palletizing labeled materials, and moving them onto a conveyance system. Flexibility is essential, as you may also assist with labeling or loading trucks in the shipping area.

Responsibilities

• Manage freight flow by moving and unloading freight manually, as mobile equipment operation is not required.
• Identify, separate, count, combine, and scan freight using the Warehouse Management System terminal, scales, and scanners.
• Handle and process freight safely and cautiously, reporting any unsafe conditions or damaged products to management.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to specific truck loading methods, such as placing heavy products at the bottom.
• Consistently lift and load materials, as this is a labor-intensive job with frequent movement on and off trailers.
• Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device and write documents or reports if necessary.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled, though temperatures may fluctuate near bay doors. You will not be working outside, but may occasionally work in the elements when doors are open. The dress code includes jeans, shorts, and closed-toed shoes or boots, with no offensive clothing allowed. Cell phones must be kept out of sight during work hours, and ear buds are not permitted.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marcy, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 / hr.
