Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting immunoassay product development and manufacturing in the Biomarker Immunoassay group.
The Research Associate will be involved in all aspects of the product development processes including designing, initiating, testing, troubleshooting, testing materials manufacturing, technical instruction transferring, and product launching.
More specifically, he or she will be working with an experienced scientist on testing new hybridoma clones, qualifying the raw materials used for immunoassay products manufacturing and new immunoassay product development and launching.
These immunoassay products may allow simultaneous detection of up to 13 important biomarkers for inflammatory diseases, stem cells, cancer, cardiovascular disease, or neuron degenerative diseases, and will be very useful tools for the biomedical research community.

Essential Functions

Under proper supervision, execute the following development tasks : evaluated antibodies, proteins, and screening antibody pairs.
Optimize assay conditions, troubleshooting and design relative biological experiments to validate the utility of the new products
- Document development activity and production records following SOPs and design plans. Develop new products under ISO13485 : 2016
- Work with manufacturer and QC group to ensure proper production transfer and QC
- Support manufacturing and QC, assist in trouble-shooting and raw material qualification
- Assist with customer support by performing trouble-shooting experiments when needed. Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Actively participating in lab meetings and presenting data. Contribute to scientific discussions and collaborations
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience
BS in a Biology, Chemistry, or other related field
Preferred Qualifications Education and Experience
- 1 year of hands-on experience with immunoassays or other functional assays
- Working experience in a manufacturing or product development setting in compliance with ISO9001 / ISO14835 standards
Work Environment & Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer.
Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.
