Allegiance Staffing is seeking for a Structural Fitter for a structural steel fabrication shop
Where : Thomasville, NC
Shift : 1st shift- Monday Thursday 6a-430p and Friday 6a-330pm
Pay : $18.00 DOE
Temp to Hire
Structural Fitter requirements :
- Hand eye coordination
- Previous experience not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work individually at a fast pace
- Ability to work in a non-controlled temperature environment
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Lifting up to 50 pounds required
- Good attendance and positive attitude are required
- Ability to work in a close team environment under minimal supervision
- Must be reliable
Structural Fitter position responsibilities :
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, and real materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
- Align, fit, and Weld or bolt structural components together, ensuring that they are positioned correctly
- Install and secure structural components in place, ensuring alignment in the structural integrity
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, adherence to specifications and compliance with safety standards
- Maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working conditions
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment work closely with other construction professional including welders crane operator engineers to complete projects efficiently
