Responsibilities The Manager of Medical Staff Services and is accountable for the areas of credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging for physicians and allied health professionals.
Serves as liaison to assure the enhancement of effective relationship between medical staff, administration, ancillary departments, and patients in matters pertaining to medical staff.
The manager ensures that the medical staff has the proper credentials to work in a medical position. The manager must be knowledgeable about state and federal laws regarding accreditation standards.
This position regularly reviews the credentials and licenses of staff as well as continuing education information to ensure the staff remains qualified.
Qualifications Job Requirements : Three years of experience in healthcare credentialing Working knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements and accreditation standards (e.
g. TJC) Preferred Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in related field CPCS-Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist Management experience
