Overview
The Crew Leader will lead an assigned shift for Dryers and Liquid with overall responsibility of performance across the assigned shift.
Ensure assigned area performs as expected by ensuring overall standards are maintained. Single shift leadership responsibilities;
provide coaching and development opportunities for team members and facilitate and encourage teamwork. Ensure leadership coverage for shift start for 3rd shift at 10 : 00pm.
Resposibilities
- Set the direction of shift team and ensure overall performance of the department to meet objectives for productivity, quality, safety, food safety, sanitation, GMPs, customer service, process reliability.
- Participates in cross-functional improvement teams and problem solving activities.
- Ensure product meets standards by reviewing the compliance, the necessary means and equipment are available and that utilization of equipment available is functional and safe.
- Investigate and communicate root cause failure analysis, including recommending and implement resolutions.
- Communicate daily with Team Managers & team and follow up on corrective action assignments.
- Participate in the interview process, on-boarding and early development of team members
- Performs Technician job duties as needed
- Performan Time and Attendance approvals for employees
- PAPR / Respirator use required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years Manufacturing experience, to include proven experience in problem solving; resolving minor mechanical and / or processing problems and making necessary adjustment.
- Minimum of 1 year Leadership experience; ability to provide daily direction / coaching.
- Able to find situational clarity (where to go, what to do) within the Plant. Ability to teach / coach others how own area / team interacts with other areas / teams within the Plant and contributes to the Plant results.
- Understands a manufacturing environment and how Plant performance impacts Supply Chain function, customers and consumers.
- Holds self and team accountable for following processes and standards and achieving results.
- Maintains professionalism and flexibility in uncertain or stressful encounters.
- Communicates effectively, orally / written, up, down and across.
- Facilitates and promotes teamwork & team discussions.
