A CMH Housekeeper will be responsible for providing a clean, safe and friendly environment for patients, visitors, and associates by providing housekeeping services.
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning tasks in patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department in the pursuit of high quality standards and results.
Job Requirements
Possess exceptional customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and effective in prioritizing tasks. Valid drivers license and auto insurance preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend the various products used to provide cleaning services to the facility. Must be able to comprehend isolation policies and signage documenting the type of infection they will be dealing with.
Ability to identify and follow verbal and / or written instructions. Strong attention to detail.
License / Certification
Valid drivers license and auto insurance preferred.
Education and / or Experience
Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
- This position requires heavy physical effort (lifts / carry up to 50 lbs); prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing / walking;
- considerable reaching stooping, bending kneeling and crouching. This position will be exposed to housekeeping / cleaning agents / chemicals;
works in precarious or slippery locations and high locations on ladders and scaffolding etc.)
