We are seeking a professional, high-energy Bartender with excellent communication skills to provide our customers with an outstanding dining experience at the bar.
The ideal candidate will be able to create classic and innovative drinks that exceed customer expectations. They will engage with customers, answer their questions, recommend menu items, and manage industry cleaning standards.
This position reports to all management. Compensation includes hourly pay and tips.
Job Duties :
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons
- Interact with multiple customers in an upbeat manner
- Anticipate customer needs and preferences, and be able to make recommendations using a high level of food and beverage knowledge
- Follow cocktail recipes to specification for consistency
- Verify customers’ ages to ensure legal drinking age compliance
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Maintain a focus on guest satisfaction in a courteous manner
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Tactfully refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive patrons
- Manage cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accurate charges and proper handling of change, while balancing the cash register
- Maintain cleanliness in work and dining areas by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
- Possess the ability to curate cocktails based on guest’s likes and dislikes to ensure satisfaction.
- Execute professional styled wine service in front of guests
- Assist with taking tables in the dining room when needed
- Describe dishes and drinks in an appealing, clear and prompt way
- Manage guest anticipations regarding food coursing and timing
Qualifications :
A successful bartender should present a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. They should also be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
- 2 years of experience working as a Bartender
- Excellent knowledge of drink mixing, garnishing, and serving
- Computer literacy
- Multilingual skills are a plus
- Calm demeanor when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
- Relevant training certificate
- Detail-oriented approach
- Strong task and time management abilities
- Basic math skills
- Meets state minimum age requirement to serve alcohol
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements :
This role may require :
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Bending, pushing, pulling, extensive walking and standing
- Prolonged periods of standing and working in a bar / restaurant environment
- Exposure to hot and cold weather present in an indoor / outdoor bar environment
- Manual dexterity for bar food / garnish preparation
