Job Summary
The School of Social & Behavioral Sciences invites applications for various Part-Time Faculty positions for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Opportunities to teach multiple / additional courses may become available. Successful candidates will teach, develop course materials, assist students as needed, and assess student work.
Candidates will be contacted on an as-needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications :
Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution, and preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience.
Essential Functions :
Instructors must be available to teach on ground with availability during the day or the evening. Instructors are responsible to develop syllabi (though current syllabi are freely shared), use our online Learning Management System, and engage students in interactive classroom discussions.

About the Department / School :
The Psychology department is home to 16 full-time faculty as well as several, valued, part-time faculty. The department offers an undergraduate psychology major and minor and supports graduate programs in clinical mental health counseling and school psychology.
The department members have expertise in many domains and work together to create a rich curricular experience for students that includes theory, research, and applied fieldwork.
The Psychology Department and the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences are committed to advancing a diverse, equitable and inclusive climate.
The School has taken leadership in several social justice initiatives, including Creating an Inclusive Community dialogues, the Marist Center for Social Justice Research, and the Marist College Diversity Leadership Institute.
