- Scans patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of trouble shooting MRI systems.
- Archives patient exams.
- Confidently starts IV's.
- Adapts to different MRI environments (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines) in the operating rooms.
- Functions in different patient monitoring systems throughout the organization.
- Follows MRI safety guidelines according to organization policy.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
- Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.

Required
Depending upon department of hire, the employee may required to be ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) certified within 6 months of hire.
Licenses Required
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- One of the following Nuclear Medicine Technician Certification (CNMT) from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
ARRT Registration as Nuclear Medicine Technology . (N)(ARRT).ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technician . ( R) (ARRT).
Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.
