Job Overview

The Automation and Documentation Specialist is responsible for enhancing manual processes through cutting edge technology, automating, and streamlining business processes to reduce processing time, eliminate errors, and minimize staff involvement.

With a dedicated focus on standardization and automation, the Automation and Documentation Specialist plays a crucial part in building and deploying automations while continuously improving processes.

Specializing in analyzing processes and workflows, the Automation and Documentation Specialist will collaborate closely with product Subject Matter Experts and Department Leaders to gather requirements and identify automation opportunities.

Working with technologists, analysts, developers, system engineers, and external contractors, they will design, test, and implement automation improvements using industry-leading tools.

Beyond building automations, the Automation and Documentation Specialist is responsible for thorough documentation of, and mentoring staff on, automation processes.

The Automation and Documentation Specialist will also ensure ongoing maintenance is documented and updated in line with Change Management standards.

Major Responsibilities

Analyze, research, develop and document new automated processes that comply with ABNB's process standards, requirements and metrics to meet member needs for process automations.

Implement and document process automations, provide all sensible solutions for improvements, and develop process automation solutions, architecture and logic, resulting in the innovation of ABNB's operational efficiency of processes & procedures.

Collaborate with ABNB's SMEs, IT Security teams, Business Intelligence professionals and technologists to provide high quality automated solutions.

Participate in projects involving changes, conversions & implementation to have automated processes ready to go for rollouts and go-lives.

  • Perform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending of process automation control changes for ABNB. Rapidly learn and become proficient in selected automation software, technology, and tools.
  • Ensure compliance standards, credit union policies & procedures and federal regulatory requirements are being followed in all process automations.
  • Performs other job related duties as required.

Position Requirements

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.

g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and / or training others is key at this level.

Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and / or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and / or sell ideas or services to others.

  • Minimum experience level to from 3 - 5 years working in Banking and / or Credit Unions, optimally with experience in multiple business areas such as from member facing to back office.
  • Training and / or experience in Process Automation.
  • Strong analytical and technical ability. Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Extreme attention to detail that results in work being completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to sit at a workstation for an extended period of time and lift / carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Office with potential for hybrid
