Database Specialist
Summary :
The Database Specialist will be responsible for the efficient and secure management of databases within Miami-Dade County.
This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining databases, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing database performance.
The Database Specialist will work closely with other IT professionals to meet data management needs and ensure data compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement database structures to meet the organization's data storage needs.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and backup and recovery procedures.
- Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct regular maintenance.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions.
- Stay updated on database technologies and recommend improvements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in database design, management, and optimization.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
