DISTRIBUTION INTERPLANT DRIVER

Department : Distribution Location : McElhattan, PA Description

Rotating Work / Trip Schedule :

1st week - 4 : 15 am to 12 : 30 pm, transport product between PA facilities (McElhattan, Wellsboro and Coudersport).

2nd week - 6 : 15 am to 2 : 30 pm, transport product between McElhattan and Beech Creek facilities.

Scheduled every other weekend.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Inter-plant truck : Transports materials between manufacturing facilities of Truck-Lite Co., LLC and other off-site locations as required.

Aids in loading and unloading, as necessary.

Turret Truck : Retrieve pallets and cases from the P&D stations and locate in the stationary racking to complete the put away cycle.

Pulls pallets and cases to replenish the forward pick locations in the pallet flow, carton flow and carousel locations. Performs cycle counts in locations serviced by the turret truck.

Performs picking function within aisle locations. Unloads and stages incoming goods to be received. Moves accepted product from the receiving dock to the designated P & D station for put away.

Assists the shippers in weighing, wrapping, staging, and loading of palletized shipments. Delivers receipts of raw plastic to the manufacturing staging area.

Moves pallet receipts of product from the packing department to the correct storage aisle. Moves pallet load shipments from the P&D station to shipping dock.

REQUIREMENTS

Persons in this job must be able to sit and / or stand all day (up to 10 hours), manually lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push / pull containers or assemblies which may weigh up to several hundred pounds (either on dollies or on edge-not dead weight) rotate to various assignments involving various working conditions within their job description, perform high and low repetition jobs, perform all aspects of their job, perform fine manipulations, firm grasping (up to 25 pounds of pressure periodically) and be able to use hand tools including but not limited to utility knifes, wire cutters, manual operated levers and presses, tape dispensers etc.

manually push, pull and bend wire and cable, assemble parts as required and work through a range of motions from ground up to and including above shoulder height, bend and twist from the waist.

Must possess a valid and current PA CDL class A license with air brake endorsement.

EDUCATION

High School or G.E.D. Certification.
