Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Director of Accounting, a leader with extensive experience in corporate accounting, consolidations, and audits.
The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience using Workday and will be responsible for overseeing our corporate accounting department.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily operations of the corporate accounting department
- Use Workday software to manage financial processes, produce financial reports, and ensure data integrity
- Support month-end and year-end close process, including corporate consolidation and inter-company transactions
- Coordinate or support the coordination of internal and external audits
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in response to business needs and to comply with applicable regulations
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders on financial strategic planning and decision-making
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification is highly desired.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise with Workday Financials.
- Experience in managing consolidation processes and audits.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
