CREDENTIAL / LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :

• For California-Based Educators :
• Possess (or will possess by July 2024) a valid California Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject* or Single Subject credential in Foundational Science or Biology, OR
• Eligible for a California Single Subject Intern credential in Foundational Science or Biology (candidate must earn an Intern credential by July 2024), OR
• Eligible for a Short-Term Staff Permit (STSP) or Provisional Internship Permit (PIP)

Notes for Multiple Subject Credential Holders :

• If you hold a Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject credential, you will also need a minimum of 12 post-secondary semester units in Science and will only be eligible for Science positions in our middle schools

COMPENSATION - SALARY :

For credentialed teachers, our 2024-25 salary scale ranges from $71,085 to $127,985, depending on your level of education and years of experience

For aspiring teachers who have yet to obtain their credentials or those currently enrolled in a credentialing program / intern-eligible, the 2024-25 salary range is between $62,316 and $63,866
