Position Summary :

We are looking for battery manufacturing engineer to join Spherion's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the manufacturing equipment, supporting technicians and operators and focusing on improving manufacturing yields, product quality and throughput.

The candidate should be able to troubleshoot the equipment, adjust the process, be able to create and review SOPs and train technicians and operators.

The candidate will work with a vibrant team of engineers and technicians to ensure that the production process is running smoothly and efficiently.

This position requires attention to the details, ability to follow the SOPs and work instructions as well as to be creative in identifying and solving manufacturing and equipment issues.

We have openings in several areas of our manufacturing :

Slurry mixing

Coating, calendering and slitting

Cell assembly, electrolyte filling

Formation and cell testing

Responsibilities :

Follow the process instructions and be able to troubleshoot should an issue arise

Operate processing and testing equipment, safely handle volatile chemicals with proper PPE

Perform routine and limited breakdown maintenance of production equipment

Run precision equipment with guidance from the lead operator

Communicate and guide technicians and operators to ensure quality and adherence to the cell design and process specifications

Working hours : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Skills :

1-7 years of experience in battery manufacturing or related field

40 hour per week availability

Willingness to wear required PPE (lab coat, hair net, gloves, respirator when needed.

Ability to be punctual and self-motivated

Strong communication skills

Education : High School

Experience : 4-7 years
