Position Overview
Our client, an established environmental and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a GHG CARB Verifier to join their expanding practice across the U.
S. This role will support ongoing greenhouse gas (GHG) verification, climate change initiatives, and sustainability efforts.
Responsibilities include conducting GHG verification and validation in compliance with CARB's Mandatory Reporting, Offset, Low Carbon Fuel Standards, and GHG inventories.
This position offers flexibility to work in a hybrid setting or remotely, depending on proximity to the client’s office, and provides the opoprtunity for long term growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct GHG verification under California Air Resources Board (CARB) Mandatory Reporting Regulation (MRR)
- Verify Cap-and-Trade projects under CARB’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS)
- Perform GHG emissions reporting for Oregon’s CFP and GHG Emissions Programs
- Handle GHG reporting under California, ODEQ, and federal GHG Reporting Programs (GHGRP)
- Provide GHG and sustainability reporting and validation services under various corporate ESG programs
- Contribute to Climate Action Plans and Sustainability Plans and Reports
- Develop verification / validation plans, risk-based sampling plans, and perform related technical work
- Participate in GHG verification site visits, facility inspections, and field meetings, as needed
- Assist in developing and preparing GHG inventories, sustainability reports, and climate change studies
- Support overall Air Quality compliance and permitting practices
- Engage with clients and assist in proposal preparation as required
- Conduct GHG and climate change studies under CEQA and NEPA
- Occasional travel may be required
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or a related science field
- CARB verifier accreditation is required
- Experience in GHG / Sustainability / Air Quality and related disciplines is essential
- Demonstrated expertise in GHG Inventories and / or Air Quality Compliance
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
