JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

Penn State Altoona is seeking Kids’ College instructors for Summer 4 . Candidates will develop and instruct day camps for children entering grades K-.

Interested candidates should be energetic and creative and have a desire to work with youth in one or more of the following areas :

Math

Science

Engineering

Technology

Music

Theatre

Language Arts

Literature.

Instructors are encouraged to use inquiry-based teaching methods, field trips, hands-on activities and other creative means to support their lessons.

Classes may be offered completely remotely or hybrid.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates should have excellent communication skills.

Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials with or without accommodation.

Enjoy working with children.

Requires a minimum of bachelor degree or in an appropriate discipline and prior teaching experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
