Lead Software Engineer, DigitalEngineering
The Lead Software Engineer of Digital Engineering is a keyleadership role at CAVA and will be responsible to drive and guide the softwarearchitecture for our digital platform.
This role also requires a combination oftechnical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication to ensurethe successful design and implementation of software solutions that align withbusiness goals.
What You’ll Do :
- Design and develop software applications, systems, or featuresbased on project requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional scrum team to understand projectgoals and deliver high-quality software solutions
- Troubleshoot issues in software, identifying and fixing bugs orperformance bottlenecks
- Implement software design patterns and best practices to ensurecode quality and scalability
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers tomaintain codebase quality
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies,apply them to improve software development processes
- Document code, architecture, and technical specifications forreference and future maintenance
- Test software components and systems, including unit testing,integration testing, system testing and end-to-end testing
- Optimize and refactor code for performance improvements to ensureefficiency, responsiveness and codebase maintainability
- Provide technical support and assistance to resolve issuesreported by end-users
- Maintain version control using tools like Git to track changes inthe codebase
- Ensure security and data protection measures are implementedwithin software applications
- Adhere to coding standards and follow software development bestpractices
- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, frominitial concept and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance
- Abideby policies and procedures that support the service mindset
- Managetimeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilitiesaccordingly
- Earnthe trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA’s values

The Qualifications :
- Minimum of 7 years of working experience in software engineering implementing digital solutions.
- 5+ years Typescript experience
- 5+ years React or NextJS Experience
- Experience with React Native and significant experience working across the tech stack, specifically Javascript, React, NextJS, and React Native
- Expertise in building authenticated consumer applications, integrating a third-party authentication provider across client and distrubited backend systems
- Demonstratedproficiency with designing well architectured front-end software systems andmodules that support new technology or improve capability / performance ofexisting functionality
- Abilityto decompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks while balancingquality, quantity, and complexity in work output
- Haveexcellent communication skills and be a mentor and role model to lessexperienced developers
- Experienceleading both teams and technology initiatives required
- Must havepassion for leading and orchestrating frontend development work
- Workindependently, be self-motivated, and be engaged.
- Communicateeffectively, both technically and generally.
- Showstrong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
- OccasionalTravel Required
