GlobalProperty and Casualty Provider seeks an experienced Scrum Master(Remote) to play a crucial role in the roll out and ongoingmaintenance of the Guidewire InsuranceSuite to enhance the companys core business operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strongbackground in Agile methodologies and experience in the propertyand casualty insurance industry.

This role requires strongleadership skills. Experience with the Guidewire platform ispreferred. As a Scrum Master you will facilitate Agile practicesensure the smooth functioning of development teams and drivecontinuous improvement in the software developmentprocesses.

Responsibilities

  • FacilitateAgileProcesses : Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily standupssprint planning sprint reviews andretrospectives.
  • BacklogRefinement : Partner with product owners to organize and prioritize sprint andreleasebacklogs.
  • Utilizeindepth knowledge of the Guidewire InsuranceSuite to support andguide development teams in implementing and enhancing Guidewireapplications.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams via Scrum ofScrums sessions ensuring alignment with business goals andrequirements.

Experience with other P&C software would beconsidered.

TeamCollaboration : Work closely with teams comprised of developers QA businessanalysts and product owners to ensure effective communication.

Foster a collaborative and highperforming team environmentpromoting transparency and accountability. Empower teams to beselforganized.

RemoveObstacles : Identify and address any impediments or blockers that may hinderthe team s progress and productivity.

Proactively work to resolveissues and keep projects ontrack.

  • ContinuousImprovement : Encourage and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement withinthe team by promoting Agile best practices and seekingopportunities for processenhancements.
  • StakeholderCommunication : Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholdersproviding regular updates on project status risks andaccomplishments.

Engage with stakeholders to understand their needsand manageexpectations.

  • MentorshipandCoaching : Mentor and coach team members on Agile principles Scrum practicesand effective teamwork. Provide guidance on Guidewire bestpractices.
  • PerformanceTracking : Monitor team performance using relevant metrics and providefeedback to drive improvement and achieve sprint release andproject goals.

Escalate issues as needed to ensure project goalsare on target to becompleted.

  • ComplianceandQuality : Ensure that all development processes adhere to project standardsregulatory requirements and company qualityguidelines.
  • ManageProductionReleases : conduct release planning sessions and readiness reviews to ensuresteps are properly identified and recorded in preparation forgolive.

Qualifications

  • 35years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile softwaredevelopmentenvironment.
  • Experiencewith any of the Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications or otherP&C packages on the market. Exposure managing both configuration and integrationteams is aplus.
  • Strongfacilitation communication and interpersonal skills to manage scrumteams.
  • Negotiationskills needed to effectively remove blockers that prevent teamsfromdelivering.
  • Strongunderstanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks particularlyScrum andKanban.
  • Experiencemanaging Agile teams compromised of FTE s and offshoreconsultants.
  • Strongproblemsolving skills and the ability to think critically andstrategically.
  • CertifiedScrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is required.Advanced certifications (e.g. CSP SAFe) are aplus.
  • Priorcompletion of Guidewire Training Modules and / or certifications is aplus.
  • 3years Commercial Property & Casualty insurance products andprocessesexperience.
  • Bachelors Degree (relevant to insurance IT or MIS) or comparable workexperience.
