Description and Duties of Job :
Castle Creations is looking for an experienced and dependable Electronics Repair Technician. This position is primarily responsible for troubleshooting and repairing product that fail during assembly and testing processes.
Addition duties include but are not limited to inspecting and repairing circuit boards prior to final assembly, maintaining and repairing test equipment and supporting our customers by completing warranty assessments on customer returns.
Essential Job Functions :
- Rapidly troubleshoot defective electronic circuits and / or assemblies to the component level and complete necessary repairs.
- Inspection and repair of completed circuit boards.
- Repair of test fixtures used on the assembly lines.
- Process and document all assessments of returned customer product.
- Maintain a log of completed repairs to be used for defect tracking and reporting.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.
Desired Skills & Qualities :
- Solid understanding of electronic theory with the ability to quickly troubleshoot defective product.
- Familiarity with commonly used test equipment, such as power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- In-depth experience in soldering processes with capability of replacing components as small as an 0402 package.
- Familiar with component polarities and ability to verify solder and component placement on circuit boards.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Positive attitude with ability to function in a team environment.
- Good manual dexterity for working with small components.
- Good eyesight including close and distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Two-year Technical degree, military training in electronics, or proven experience in electronic servicing / repair preferred.
