What you will do
- Coordinate daily truck dispatch schedules, ensuring safe, on-time delivery and pick-up of materials.
- Support compliance with DOT regulations and driver hour limits.
- Ensure transportation options adhere to Last Material Hauled (LMH) protocols and Antibiotic Free (ABF) practices.
- Identify and manage backhaul opportunities to optimize loaded miles.
- Accurately administer and maintain logistics data across various systems.
- Provide on-call support during weekday evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule.
- Develop and maintain initiatives aimed at reducing demurrage costs.
- Support biosecurity initiatives by training third-party contractors (TPC) on expectations, managing infractions, and collaborating with the Quality Control department.
- Track fleet updates in Samsara & Fleetio to monitor repairs, maintenance, inspections, registrations, mileage, and locations.
- Oversee daily trailer check-in / check-out processes, audits, and accurate accounting of demurrage.
- Maintain overall yard efficiency, including record-keeping for damages and necessary repairs for the fleet.
- Manage the rail process, including tracking rail cars, handling demurrage, billing, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Safe Feed / Safe Food policies to maintain Feed Safety and Food Safety.
- Uphold company values in daily work interactions and responsibilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years’ experience in logistics / routing / dispatch or similar role
- 3-5 years’ experience in the full office suite
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
