JOB DESCRIPTION
Ecolab is hiring a Sr. Quality Engineer to join our team in Garland. The primary objective of this position is to assist the Garland manufacturing facility in their quest for continuous improvement in quality, process control, material efficiency, and startup of new product production.
Ongoing activities will include quality problem resolution at manufacturing plants with a focus on plant capabilities. Other responsibilities include, plant or supplier quality audits complaint handling and resolution process, statistical process control techniques, assisting the plants in reducing batch adjustments, FMEA, training, product introduction with related manufacturing capability analysis and other related duties as assigned by the Plant Quality Manager.

What You Will Do :
- Support continuous improvement programs through execution and utilization of quality, lean manufacturing, and six-sigma tools & concepts
- Support improvement and sustainment of a facility-wide document control program
- Monitor and measure key QMS KPIs for trends and performance against objectives, including but not limited to, First Pass Fail, Bad Batches, Blocked & Restricted Stock, Internal Nonconformances, Customer Complaints, and Supplier Nonconformances
- Utilize key KPIs and supporting data to drive improvements
- Promote continuous improvement in quality, process control, and material efficiency through use of statistical techniques to quantify and analyze plant & systems capabilities
- Collaborate with lab technicians, production leads, corporate quality, and other required cross functional groups, to facility & assist with internal & external customer complaint investigations through root cause analysis and establish corrective / preventive actions
- Initiate, drive, and support Corrective and Preventive Action reports for product non-conformances
- Create, revise, and maintain applicable standard operating procedures, work instructions, and single point lessons for Production & Quality
- Evaluate, recommend, and facilitate process improvement projects to reduce product mix batch adjustments, bad batches, and FG material loss
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- 4+ years’ of experience with Quality within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical, food, or beverage industry
- Experience in an ISO 9001 certified QMS / FDA / GMP manufacturing environment
- Internal auditing experience

Preferred Qualifications :
- Advanced degree in a technical field, in chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- Project management experience
- Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
- 4+ years’ experience in a lean manufacturing environment, and / or Lean Six Sigma (certification preferred)
- Experience with 5S program
- Possess the ability to be self-directed and simultaneously manage multiple projects and objectives
Demonstrate experience in standardized quality tools such as RCA (5-whys), pFMEA, SPC, problem solving, and statistics
