Joe Muer Seafood is looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our team! The Sous Chef will work with the Executive Chef to ensure the highest quality food products and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
This position is required to supervise hourly staff.
Qualifications :
- Must have a culinary degree
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in supervisory role
- Must have minimum 2 years experience cooking in a fine dining establishment
- Strong leadership skills
- Self motivated, strong work ethic
- Ability to stay calm and focused in busy kitchen atmosphere
- Computer literate
Job Functions :
- Tracking, recording, replenishing inventory
- Purchasing, scheduling, hiring and firing, discipline
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the appropriate recipes, portioning, cooking, cost / pricing, safety guidelines, serving standards
- Create schedules for kitchen staff
- Maintain consistent high food production quality
- Ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
