Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital cardiac catheterization lab at a Level I trauma center Provide care for middle and older adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Procedural responsibilities include cardiac implant closure device placement, stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP placement / removal, PTCA, PCI, rotablader athrectomy, and interpretation of dysrhythmias Duties include equipment setup, recognition and response to life-threatening arrhythmias, and maintaining sterile technique Handle infection control with isolation precautions and sterile technique Work schedule is flexible; options include day or variable shifts, such as 5x8, 4x10, or 3x12 On-call is required as needed, rotating with staff and agency, supported by a dedicated call team No floating to other departments required for this role Uses Cerner EMR; experience with Cerner is required First-time travelers are accepted Schedule requests and block scheduling can be discussed with the manager Staff are required to work 2-3 weekends per contract and at least 2 out of 3 major holidays if scheduled Scrubs are provided by the facility A parking permit is required but provided at no cost Candidates must not have been employed in a permanent or PRN role at this facility within the past 12 months Up to 5 days off can be auto-approved; additional time off requires approval Lab appointments, Docusigns, badge photo, and onboarding must be completed prior to starting Non-clinical modules must be completed virtually on the first day and annually Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings Active IL license required if applicable Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted) Experience must include required procedural skills and responsibilities listed for a cardiac cath lab technologist Must be able to provide age-specific care for middle and older adults Cerner EMR experience is required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619673.
