- Key ResponsibilitiesAudit patient schedules to ensure verification and documentation of coverage restrictionsObtain referrals or authorizations from primary care offices or insurance companiesIndex incoming records and assist internal teams in resolving insurance issuesRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required;
- Certificate from College or Technical School preferred2 - 3 years' experience in medical or related field requiredKnowledge of medical terminology and proceduresFamiliarity with health insurance industry practices and / or medical billing proceduresComputer literacy required;
experience with medical scheduling / billing systems preferred
