job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssists in the design, build, and test of small satellite propulsion system Writes and executes test plans and procedures Documents test results Creates presentations of the system Requirements : Academic experience in spacecraft propulsion system Experience with MATLAB / Simulink and Labview Ability to work hands-on with hardware during testing Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision Ability to work well in a team with other students and professionals Strong initiative and ability to see the job through Good communication skills, both written and verbal Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person Preferred Skills : Hands-on experience designing, building, and / or testing hybrid propulsion systems Completion of graduate level propulsion classes Experience with team collaborative tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, etc.) Education : Must be pursuing a degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field Senior or graduate student 3.0 GPA minimum is required If you’re unsure if you are qualified, we still want to hear from you! - The program also includes training workshops, networking opportunities, and a variety of summer events and activities. Interns will be paid a competitive monthly stipend and will be tasked with varying duties based on current projects, needed support, and development phase.
