Physician - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

Ochsner Health is seeking a board certified / board eligible Pediatric Hematologist / Oncologist to join the growing team at Ochsner Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, the #1 ranked children’s hospital in Louisiana by U.

S. News & World Report . Additional training and experience in bone marrow transplant and / or stem cell transplant is desirable.

Our comprehensive Pediatrics Program including primary care pediatricians and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Children’s™) represents over 230 physicians.

The group is the region’s leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

We offer a full range of pediatric complex specialty services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation, liver and bone marrow transplantation, a comprehensive surgical sub-specialty group, and the region’s only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental center.

We recently announced the building of a new separate, comprehensive, dedicated Children’s Hospital on our main campus, with expected opening in 2027.

We currently care for patients in an expanding 67-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, and a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, and full-time, region-wide in-house pediatric and neonatal transport teams.

Ochsner Children’s pediatric oncology section cares for the largest number of COG enrolled patients in the state and also provides stem cell transplant with plans for advanced targeted cellular therapy soon.

In addition to patient care, Ochsner Children’s Hospital has an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and is responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland.

Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint allopathic medical school The Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine, located in New Orleans.
