Summary :

The Cell Trainer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate assembly of transmission units according to manufacturer specifications.

This position must have the ability to read, follow and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

This position will use these abilities to teach others how to efficiently and accurately assemble / disassemble transmissions.

While performing the duties of this job, the Cell Trainer is regularly required to stand for periods of time, and must also be able to regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.

Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel, including assembly technicians, on the proper techniques and procedures for transmission component review, processing and assembly.
  • Maintain and improve employee training systems and related system efficiency and effectiveness metrics.
  • Management of trainee progress monitoring, related reports, and recovery planning, as trainee / individuals move through the training process
  • Receive new and incoming transmission cores from disassembly and organize them for assembly.
  • Interpret and follow manufacturer instructions to reassemble transmissions to product specifications.
  • Ensure the highest levels of quality in work by conducting thorough inspections during the assembly process.
  • Utilize hand and air tools to assemble transmission units accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor the assembly process to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Assist Engineering and Quality Technicians in production and product audits, ensuring manufacturing processes and methods are being followed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in assembly.
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and following documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and / or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and air tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Spanish read / write a plus
  • Train the Trainer certification / training a strong plus
