ESC Spectrum is a leading provider of systems and services for stack emissions monitoring at power plants and other industries throughout the country.
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist who will report to the Human Resources Manager. This position will support each of our four locations along with remote employees in a variety of HR-related tasks.
This position will be located at our Pensacola, FL office.
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will :
Maintain company HRIS system by entering any employee change information (new hires, changes, terminations, promotions, transfers, etc.
and updates changes to the employee files to document employment actions and to provide information for payroll, benefit carriers and other internal / external areas
- Support the current recruiting strategy of the Company through various recruitment and talent acquisition activities, including but not limited to, Providing recommendations of new ways to attract top talent and ideal team players Proactively sourcing passive and active candidates to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs Participating in candidate interview process, including screening resumes, conducting phone screening interviews, and panel interviews Actively engaging with candidates across various recruiting platforms, including job fairs when appropriate Establishing and maintain relationships with outside recruiting agencies, universities, technical schools, and state / local agencies Maintaining the talent acquisition management system by accurately posting, updating, and closing positions Conducting, establishing, and tracking outreach efforts and activities that align with Company’s affirmative action plans
- Conduct new hire orientations and support employees through their onboarding
- Schedule and maintain results of background checks, drug screens and employee eligibility verifications in E-Verify
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the HR Manager and VP of Human Resources
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, affirmative action, benefits, leave, retention initiatives, recognition programs, performance and talent management, occupational health and safety, and training and development
- Foster and support a positive, employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes our core values, high performance and employee engagement
- Construct and implement innovative employee engagement programs and fun initiatives to enhance employee connect and enhance morale
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Ensure policies, procedures and HR programs are consistently administered and align with the organizational goals. Maintain compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and employment laws
- Lead and manage projects and other duties and responsibilities as needed
What You'll Need :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or 4+ years of relevant work experience in an Human Resources role
- Minimum two years’ experience in a Human Resources role
- Human Resources Certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
- Strong knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including recruitment & selection, benefits practices, performance management, industry trends and employment laws, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to effectively address and resolve employees' questions or concerns
- Strong business acumen and well-developed decision making, prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Places high priority on professionalism, data integrity and handle highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
Expected work schedule for this position :
- Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
- Travel to other locations as needed
