Job Description and Duties

The California Secretary of State’s Elections Division is seeking a qualified applicant to work as a Program Technician II in the Voter Services Unit.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals who work to administer statewide elections in California.

Willing to consider Program Technician for recruitment purposes.Job Description & Duties : The incumbent will assist members of the public in person at the Elections Division Front Counter, by email or mail, and by phone through the Secretary of State’s Voter Hotline.

The incumbent will respond to public requests for election-related information regarding voter registration, voter outreach and education, voting, candidacy, ballot measures, and other aspects of elections administration.

The incumbent will compile and track Front Office workload statistics using spreadsheets and create reports for management.

Other duties include providing a broad range of clerical / technical support to other Voter Services Unit staff and Elections Division program areas.

The incumbent will assist with mass mailings to county elections officials and other recipients; sort and mail Voter Registration Cards and cancellation notices;

and prepare correspondence and mailing labels. The incumbent will also track and monitor the issuance of County Clerk / Registrar of Voters (CC / ROV) advisory numbers. Desirable Qualifications :
