The Product Owner Proxy will be responsible for coordinating development efforts using Agile methodology, working alongside the development team and stakeholders to help deploy solutions for a U.
S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) project. This role will engage with enterprise stakeholders to ensure successful project vision and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Engage with development teams and stakeholders throughout the enterprise to facilitate Agile processes and best practices.
- Work directly with customers and other internal groups to evaluate supporting technologies and use cases based on project needs.
- Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and partners during the process of building solutions.
- Implement scalable, high-performance solutions that meet the needs of the project.
- Review work, design, and architecture, providing input on development aspects when needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- EPA background investigation eligible.
- Demonstrated education and expertise in Agile development methodology.
- 5-7 years of experience in software development or related roles.
- Proficiency with Agile management tools (e.g., Atlassian JIRA, Confluence).
- Understanding of development frameworks (e.g., Spring, Struts, Hibernate).
- Familiarity with business rules engines (e.g., Drools).
- Experience with project management and development tools.
- Knowledge of web technologies relevant to the project.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build trusting relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and agile environment.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related technical field.
- Experience with EPA or other federal government contracts.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance information systems.
