We’re after a self-starter who is news obsessed and a media relations hotshot. They will communicate with clarity, enjoy meeting people, and love the thrill of building strong client relationships and winning new business.

The role will focus on raising the profile of Houston-based Octopus Energy US the renewable energy provider shaking up the energy market.

Octopus Energy US is part of the wider global Octopus Energy Group a success story from the UK which has changed the face of clean power in the last eight years.

It is now worth nearly $8bn, with investment from the likes of Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management, and has operations in 19 countries including Japan, Australia, New Zealand and much of Europe.

You will generate media opportunities for the US CEO, and continue raising the profile of the company as you run a dynamic press office.

Greg Jackson, CEO and co-founder of Octopus, spoke at SXSW last year about how technology is unlocking cheaper, greener energy - this is Octopus’s global mission.
