Possess excellent communication, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills; must be professional, self-motivated, dependable, and effectively work as a team member or independently;
will be cross- trained in all departmental units within the Office of the Dean of Students.
- Assist with departmental events / programs, including greeting families and prospective / new students during recruitment and retention programs, etc.;
- Assist with the creation of promotional materials;
- Possess knowledge of clerical and general office procedures and practices; knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation, knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications and software;
- Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and other visitors; answer the telephone addressing callers in a professional, service-oriented manner;
- correctly and accurately route calls; take messages and / or schedule appointments, as necessary;
- Ability to organize and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner; ability to perform work requiring accuracy and attention to detail;
- ability to operate a variety of office equipment;
- Serve as a secondary contact person for callers and visitors to the Administrative Office / Department
- Copy, file, and scan documents in accordance with office procedures;
- Complete data entry using a variety of applications and software;
- Use the university database to maintain departmental records in an accurate and timely manner; ensure adherence to records confidentiality and documenting procedures;
- generate reports as needed; proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Regular admission into an ASU graduate degree or certification program is required.
