Our team is looking to add a highly motivated, energized and effective Reputation Deputy to be part of a team managing the company's reputation efforts.
The Reputation Deputy will play a key role in supporting the Director in developing and executing communication strategies that enhance the organization's image, manage its media presence, and effectively convey its message to various stakeholders.
The Reputation Deputy will manage day-to-day operations, work with team members, and ensure that all communication efforts align with the organization's goals and brand.

Key Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years in communications, public relations, or a related field, within the aerospace and defense industry.
1. Strategic Communication Support :
o Assist in creating and implementing comprehensive communication and public relations strategies.
o Collaborate with the Director to identify key messaging opportunities and target audiences.
o Ensure consistent messaging across all communication platforms, including digital, print, and social media.
2. Media Relations :
o Contribute to the media outreach efforts, including press releases, media pitches, and interviews.
o Contribute to the crisis communication efforts.
3. Content Creation and Management :
o Work with the Director of communications and Public Relations and contribute to the development of content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, speeches, and social media posts.
o Ensure that all content is accurate, timely, and aligns with the organization's brand and messaging guidelines.
o Manage the editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content across platforms.
4. Team Leadership and Management :
o Mentor a team of communication and public relations professionals, including the social media manager and our graphics contractors
5. Event Planning and Coordination :
o Assist in the planning and execution of press conferences, media events, and public engagements.
o Coordinate logistics, prepare materials, and manage on-site media relations for events.
o Evaluate the success of events and make recommendations for improvements.
6. Internal Communications :
o Work with internal departments to ensure consistent communication within the organization.
o Assist in the development of internal communication strategies that keep employees informed and engaged.
o Draft internal announcements, newsletters, and other communication materials as needed.
7. Analytics and Reporting :
o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns.
o Provide regular reports on media coverage, social media metrics, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Director.
o Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for future communication efforts.
o Manage the HubSpot databases for optimal customer relation management.
8. Support the Business Development team as needed
o Provide proposal writing support to the Chief Revenue Officer
o Create graphics for the proposal team as required
Key results, activities, and outcomes include :
o Work on the strategy one pagers for each conference and develop and execute detailed communications plans including messaging, media, and supporting content
o Supervise swag management with the help of the MarCom team
o Work in Wrike for project management for key conferences
o Manage external and internal resources to support high visibility public activities
o Manage development activities for new resources, messaging, and content to communicate company vision, capabilities, and customer value proposition
o Manage internal and external resources to support strategic communications.
o Accountable for elevating the reputation of the company through enhancing the awareness of the people, programs and projects.
o Manage and plan tradeshow activities such as registrations, speaking requests, and paper submissions.
o Develop press releases with support of the technical writer, the Director of Communications and Public Relations
o Support management of messaging on the Advanced Space website (blogs, team changes, etc.) through WordPress.
o Help the social media manager in developing a voice on social media and provide quality control
o Support Sales and Government Relations teams to generate messaging tailored to attracting new civil, national security, and commercial customers.
o Knowledge of tools to generate digital marketing materials.
o Engage VIP event planning and execution with the help of the Reputation team.
o Strategize, track and evaluate the Reputation team's impact through established metrics.
o Support proposal writing with the Business Development team as needed
o Miscellaneous activities that support the overall branding and storytelling of the company.
Qualifications :
o Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
o 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Strong understanding of media relations, digital communication, and social media strategies.
o Proven ability to manage multiple projects
o Experience in Event management
o Experience in customer engagement and tour hosting
o Experience in graphics creation
o Experience in crisis communication is a plus
Compensation and Benefits :
o Base Salary Range - $63.087 - $107,871 based on employee experience
