Company Driver Supervisor Summary
The Company Driver Supervisor is responsible for the management of CDL drivers and oversight of routes, driver safety and fleet within a distribution center.
This role is also responsible for supporting local management and corporate departments to ensure compliance with DOT FMCSA regulations and company expectations.

Company Driver Supervisor Qualifications
- 3-5 years of driver management experience
- 3-5 years of heavy-equipment delivery operation experience
- 3-5 years’ experience working with DOT rules and regulations
- Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to Class A CDL drivers and equipment
- Previous experience operating truck / trailers over-the-road (long or short haul)
- Effective verbal and written communication practices
- Masterful problem-solving skills
Company Driver Supervisor Duties
- Conducts driver training and road tests on new employees or designated remedial training program
- Manages driver performance and partners with management / HR for coaching, corrective action / training
- Acts as Liaison between driver and transportation coordinator regarding route situations
- Partners with transportation to ensure route coverage, i.e., temporary drivers, carriers, breakdowns, and / or directly covering for the vacancy
- Manage the planned and unplanned maintenance of all driving equipment
- Performs monthly pre-trip inspection audits to ensure all equipment meets FMCSA and company standards
- Partners with Safety to coordinate driver onboarding, drug testing and Driver Qualification documents
- Maintains working knowledge of systems such as GEOTAB, Samsara, Descartes, JJ Keller Encompass, and hardware components
- Supports Management with the correction of driver Hours of Service (HOS) issues in GEOTAB
- Collects, completes, and submits all accident and injury paperwork, ensuring established processes were followed
