Job Overview :

Work with the General Manager andAssistant General Manager to inspire, motivate and lead the front of house teamto achieve excellent gust satisfaction.

Ensuring standards are maintained andguest needs are anticipated. To ensure the restaurant reaches and maintains itsmaximum potential in all areas.

To ensure all staff compliance with companypolicies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations and to carryout training and development needs within the department.

To act as a rolemodel to all employees by showing a positive approach to team morale throughexcellent support, training and communication.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain complete knowledge of andcomply with all restaurant policies / service procedures / standards.
  • Ensure that all restaurant staffare knowledgeable of the goals of the company and the action plans that will befollowed to achieve these goals.
  • Regularly communicate with theGeneral Manager in regard to restaurant related matters.
  • Submit work orders for repairs toassigned restaurant and / or equipment and follow up on these requests to ensuretimely completion.
  • Enforce policies and procedures ina fair and equitable manner.
  • Continuously review the operationand make recommendations on how to enhance the product to the General Manager.
  • Assist with implementing newpolicies, standard operating procedures and restaurant initiatives as assigned.
  • Always available on the floor toassist restaurant staff and to interact with guests.
  • Enforce cost control proceduresand monitor waste and breakage.
  • Ensure the restaurant reservationsystem is maintained and that the receptionist are adhering to the seatingguidelines.
  • Conduct monthly equipmentinventories in accordance with Company policy.
  • Assist with reviewing all food andbeverage related costs and consumptions in accordance with financial targets.
  • Assist with ensuring that allrestaurant food and beverage revenues and expenses are properly recordedagainst the appropriate budget, and the variations from the budgeted amountsare properly documented.
  • Assist with monitoring revenuereports for accuracy.
  • Additional duties as assigned bymanagement

Guest Service

  • Toprovide a friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
  • Todemonstrate a high standard of personal appearance and ensuring good personalhygiene.
  • Toensure the agreed standards of food service are always adhered to.
  • Toensure the efficient flow of service and standards are constantly met duringservice periods.
  • Toensure all guest requests and queries are responded to promptly andeffectively.
  • Topositively deal with and learn from all guest complaints and comments.
  • Toactively seek feedback from guests on a regular basis.
  • Toanalyze Mystery Diner reports and communicate back to your team.

People Management

  • Tobuild and maintain an efficient team of employees, driving the team towards theobjectives of the business.
  • Toensure that the restaurant’s personnel budgets are strictly adhered to.
  • Torecruit and select employees to the agreed staffing levels.
  • Todevelop a learning culture and to ensure that all team members feel valued andrewarded.
  • Toproduce employee schedules to ensure employee levels match the needs of thebusiness.
  • Toensure all new employees attend orientation.
  • Topromote the training and development of staff to ensure standards aremaintained and monitor all training and development within thedepartment.
  • Tomanage all employees in line with the agreed skills and standards, givingregular feedback and appraisals.
  • Tomanage all disciplinary and grievance issues within the department.
  • Toassess staff performance against the agreed skills and standards.
  • Toconstantly monitor the grooming and personal hygiene of the team.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • Ability to remain in stationary position for 8 hours or more.
  • Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
