Position Objective : Please summarize the major purpose of the job
The Maintenance Technician is to ensure that facilities are properly maintained by performing light maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities : Describe five to seven major duties and responsibilities of the job, beginning with the most important, and the percentage of time spent on each.
- Perform work in safe manner according to safety policies and procedures, preventing injury to self and others
- Perform work in efficient manner to reduce costs, measured by amount of time worked compared to amount of time allotted for work to be completed
- Maintain and repair machines and tools to within established specifications
- Identify hazardous machine conditions and secure equipment against use as required
- Maintain and repair building and equipment as required
- Order machinery / tool replacement parts, or purchase locally as required
- Read and understand all written instructions to maintain machinery / tools
- Listen to and understand all verbal instructions to maintain machinery / tools
- Repair machinery and equipment using a variety of machines and tools
- Perform required maintenance inspections using appropriate tools
- Record daily maintenance results on required forms
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
- Safely perform duties in a responsible manner in accordance with company policy including maintaining general work area cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet needs of the business

Technical Requirements
Describe the technical knowledge and experience required to accomplish the job duties and responsibilities
Experience in making machine adjustments and general troubleshooting. Must have basic hand tools. Able to perform fundamental math operations including converting fractions and ability to read a tape measure.
Knowledge / Experience :
Describe minimum experience requirements necessary to accomplish the job duties and responsibilities.
- 6 months related experience, maintenance preferred
- Able to acquire forklift license within 6 months on job
- Able to acquire scissor-lift license within 6 months on job
- Valid driver's license
Education Requirement :
Describe minimum educational requirements necessary to accomplish the job duties and responsibilities.
High School Diploma
Licenses Or Certifications
Describe any licenses or certifications that are either required or helpful in performing the job.
License or certificates in any of the above-mentioned trade skills are beneficial. MSSC

- Accurately read tape measure, ruler, and calipers
