Encore, a Deluxe Entertainment Services Group company, has a freelance position in its Hollywood, CA shop. Encore provides post production services to top television series and is owned by Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc.

We are preparing for the upcoming Television Season and are looking for Freelance Dailies Colorists.
Required Skills :
Knowledge of video codecs such as Apple ProRes, H.264, MPEG2 and DNxHD
Understanding of what timecode is, and its function on set in jam sync for slates, cameras and audio recording devices
Must be comfortable using Avid Media Composer, OS X, Quicktime and at least one video encoding application
Good data management skills along with an ability to quickly learn new applications
Understanding of the following terms, scene, take, camera roll, circle take, a-neg, b-neg, tail slate, camera reports
Must be able to navigate a complex hierarchy of files quickly and be able to correctly distribute multiple files to numerous destinations while ensuring correct naming as well as quality control.
Willing to work a graveyard shift or flexible hours
Able to reliably work off of and cross reference numerous paperwork sources
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of post-production dailies workflows
Experience with Resolve, OSD Colorfront, Scratch, Aspera or Final Cut Pro
Experience with archiving data to tape using LTO -Knowledge of progressive and interlaced video as well as standard conversation practices
Experience with audio sync -Basic color correction skills / ability to use primary or CDL color applications to balance / match footage
