Job Overview :
The Medical Assistant will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced and patient-centric environment.

The Medical Assistant will assist with various clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall success of our interventional pain practice.
The Medical Assistant must be willing to travel to all 3 locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care :
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and interventions.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints accurately.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during examinations, treatments, and interventions.
- Provide patient education, instructions, and support regarding treatments, medications, and post-procedure care.
- Clinical Support :
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and medical records.
- Assist with pain management procedures, such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, and radiofrequency ablation.
- Administrative Duties :
- Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits using the practice's electronic scheduling system.
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and ensure necessary authorizations are obtained.
- Manage medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy and security regulations.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and maintaining office supplies.
- Team Collaboration :
- Communicate effectively with the medical team, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to facilitate coordinated patient care.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing observations, insights, and recommendations to improve patient care processes and clinic efficiency.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification or registration is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably in pain management or interventional medicine.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic pharmacology.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or ECG are a plus.
