Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Perform equipment, including but not limited to generator, switchgear, fuel tank, and enclosure inspections for all sites in Greater Minneapolis area at minimum monthly
- Perform and prepare reports for SPCC sites monthly
- Respond to equipment alarms, resets, issues, etc. as required
- Provide regular updates to Service Manager on current or potential issues
- Perform maintenance activities including but not limited to replacing filters, heaters, batteries, troubleshooting small issues
- Assist with larger repairs in conjunction with Lead Generator Technician and / or 3rd party vendors
- Complete paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Subject to physical, drug and alcohol testing, and background check requirements
- Must value and practice safety, common sense, and good judgment
- Comfort around mechanical equipment and willingness to learn power generation

Working Conditions
- Majority of time spent in a field environment
- Travel by company vehicle to and from generator sites up to five hours at a time
- Regularly exposed to environments involving rotating and energized equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and odors
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing required PPE
- Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle
- Frequently performs tasks requiring climbing, bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, lifting
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks / respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves, and safety toe work boots
