Electrical Test Technician

As an Electrical Test Technician, you will be responsible for testing, aligning, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, and optical sub-assemblies and equipment.

You will also provide technical assistance, training, and problem-solving support to fellow team members, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities :

  • Test and troubleshoot at a component level; identify and repair faults by checking components, soldering, or replacing parts as necessary.
  • Set up, perform, and analyze experiments and tests according to pre-arranged product test procedures.
  • Record results and findings into product test records.
  • Analyze and diagnose faults in the operational configuration of electronics systems and equipment to the PWA level.
  • Operate test equipment such as digital multi-meters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators.
  • Proficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits to the component level.
  • Maintain accurate inventory information and segregate non-conforming materials.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on product changes and development.
  • Perform root cause analysis of nonconforming products.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma +5 years of experience
  • One to five years of relevant experience, with training or experience in test or experimental operations
  • Strong knowledge of basic electronics concepts such as Ohm’s Law, OP-Amp circuits, and AD / DC converters.
  • Proficient in using equipment like oscilloscopes, voltmeters, digital multimeters, function generators, ATE, and programming tools (ICD 2 / 3 / 4, CPLD, J-link).
  • Experience with computer operations and relevant applications.
  • Experience is Manual and Automated Testing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and troubleshoot down to the component level on complex circuits.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance is required (No C2C or similar)

Desired

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Certification in electronics / soldering or engineering.
  • Linux and DOS programming
  • Training or experience in test or experimental operations acquired in the military or technical schools being highly desirable.
