Controller in Waiting

Job Description

The Controller in Waiting role is designed to identify candidates for a full-time Controller position within any of our 13 manufacturing plants.

You will start out working remotely, learning OI’s financial procedures and software. When a plant controller position opens at one of our US plants you will be transferred into that role.

The locations are : (1) Los Angeles, CA (2)Tracy, CA (3)Portland OR / Kalama WA (4) Windsor, CO (5) Streator, IL (6) Lapel, IN (7) Zanesville, OH (8) Brockway / Crenshaw PA (9) Auburn, NY (10) Danville, VA (11) Winston-Salem NC (12) Toano VA (13) Muskogee OK

The Controller in Waiting will :

• Work remotely, learning OI processes and systems
• Assist in providing financial analysis
• Help with building business cases
• Work on special projects

The Controller in Waiting should have :

• Proven ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
• A strong desire to work in a manufacturing environment
• The ability to manage the balance sheet and P&L statement preparation
• Able to help with financial budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in cost accounting
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with SAP and / or ERP systems is preferred
• Must be flexible and have the ability to travel to all 13 plants in the US and open to relocating to a majority of locations in the near future

What We Offer :

Salary Range : The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $95,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus.

Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
